Fittings and valves for HVAC systems

22 February 2012

LOCUS’ aluminum tube fittings and valves for air conditioning and heating systems will now be available to the American market. The products are made of special aluminum alloy and installed using the threaded lok-type fitting connection method, requiring no welding. To guarantee airtight sealing, the fittings and valves provide clear visual confirmation of the installation and require less installation time than other conventional solder joint copper fittings.

A complete line of aluminum fittings and valves are offered, available in sizes from ¼ to ¾ inches. Fittings can be used with different types of tubes, such as copper, aluminum and LOCUS’ new polyamide and powder coated aluminum. The product range includes union fittings, tube welding nipples, service valve connectors, elbows, aluminum service valves, etc. The anodized surface increases hardness, durability, corrosion and wear resistance. The O-rings and ferrules are designed to be used with R22 and R410A refrigerants and oils to guarantee zero leakage when used with high and low temperature fluids. The patented aluminum fittings meet UL484, UL1995, ANSI (ASME) B31.3 standards.

For refrigerant line connections for air conditioning and heating systems, the polyamide/powder coated tubes are offered. These coated tubes are less expensive than conventional copper tubes and feature clean design, available in different colours with great flexibility, low weight and durability when exposed to acids, salt, humidity and sunlight.
